Academy Local Applicant Scholarship

The Academy Local Applicant Scholarship has been established to assist students enrolled to start school at the International Academy of Design and Technology who live within 100 miles of the colleges and have graduated from high school or who have earned their G.E.D.

Applicants must participate in an essay competition and complete a 350-word essay on the subject assigned at the event. Essay competitions will be held quarterly, and the dates for the competition will be posted on the Student Portal. Applicants must submit a completed scholarship application prior to participating in the essay competition. The deadline for submission is April 1 for students entering in the spring term, July 1 for entry into the summer term, October 1 for entry into the fall term, and January 1 for entry into the winter term.*

Selection of scholarship winners is determined, collectively, by the Director of Inside Admissions, the Vice President of Student Services, and the Director of Financial Aid. A total of five individual $2,000 scholarships will be awarded in equal quarterly installments during the student's first three quarters of attendance.
