There's always something happening at the Academy in Tampa! Here's where to check the latest announcements, updates and news about our growing academic community and career-focused degree programs.

Walk-In Wednesdays – Campus Tours at 6pm

We know your weekends are packed, so we've instituted "Walk-In Wednesdays" to help serve you better. This summer, we'll have staff available to take you on a campus tour, answer your questions, and give you an on-the-spot interview for admission – no appointment required, just drop by any Wednesday at 6pm.

Summer Studio: July 12-14

Summer Studio is designed to give high school juniors, seniors and recent graduates an opportunity to get a taste of Academy life the way our current students do. Attending students will be exposed to art appreciation, sketching, drawing the human body, Adobe Illustrator, sound mixing techniques with Pro Tools, Motion Capture, CAD, history of fashion, photography, and/or special effects depending on the program they select to attend.

Summer Studio costs $100 for the 3-day workshop, and includes breakfast and lunch each day.

IMAGINE 2010 is the Academy's 25th Annual Fashion Show and Expo. We will be pulling out all the stops for this year's celebration – you won't want to miss it!

Adobe's 2009 Educators Summit

Recently, Paul Pelak, Professional Photography Chair at the Academy of Design & Technology in Tampa, was invited to participate along with (24) other top educational professionals from around North America at the Adobe's 2009 Educators Summit in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Scholarship Awarded to "Fashion Forward" Design Contest Winner

Anna Romero creates a flirty, beaded dress to take the prize

Hoffman Estates, Ill., (June 2, 2009) – The International Academy of Design & Technology (the Academy) announced today that graduating high school senior, Anna Romero, the local winner for the Academy - Las Vegas, has been named the winner of its national fashion design contest. She and nine other high school seniors saw their original designs come to life on the IMAGINE 2009 runway in Chicago on May 21 in front of an audience of more than 1000 people. That evening, Romero's name was announced as the recipient of a full-tuition scholarship (valued at more than $50,000) to attend the Academy in Las Vegas.

International Academy of Design & Technology Attains CIDA Re-Accreditation for Interior Design Program

Tampa, Fla. (March 19, 2009) – The International Academy of Design & Technology-Tampa (the Academy) was notified this month that it has again been granted accreditation by the Council of Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) for its Interior Design (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree program. This accreditation status has been continuously held since 1992. The Interior Design program was voluntarily placed before the scrutiny of CIDA to ensure that students receive an education that will serve them not only during their time at school but also prepare them for future professional growth. Students enrolled in an accredited interior design program can be confident that the program meets the quality standards recognized by the profession.
