Paul Pelak
Paul Pelak is the Program Director for the Digital Photography Program at the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa, Florida, a position he has held since the program's inception in 2002. Pelak created the Digital Photography program with the help of the Tampa Advisory Board. Today, the program has over 200 students and remains relevant through constant updating by Pelak and his team of instructors, 12 area professionals who each have their own photographic specialty.
In addition to his duties as department chair, Pelak runs Pelak Studios and shoots fashion and advertising assignments for various regional businesses. He also works on his fine art digital images and personal work. Over the years, he and his stylist wife have created fashion and advertising images for clients such as Martin Guitars, Crayola Crayons, Just Born Candies, and Scuncci International, to name a few.
From 1997 to 2001, Pelak helped create degree program in visual communications at colleges in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, later serving as department chair for both programs.
Paul Pelak received a Bachelor's degree from Kutztown State University in Communication Design in 1980.
