Nancy P. McGee
Department Chair, Fashion Design
Fashion Design Department Chair Nancy P. McGee refers to herself as an educator, designer, and artist. As an educator, McGee taught at Parsons School of Design in New York for 25 years. While there, she held positions as Associate Chair, Acting Chair and Director of Special Projects. In 1986, she established the Fashion Designer department at Parsons in Paris. McGee also spent time as a faculty member for the Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, serving as a professor, department chair for Fashion Design, and Dean of Faculty.
McGee’s work in the fashion field includes children's wear, bridal, and contemporary dresses. She also served as a design consultant for Scott Paper Company where she designed “Paper Caper,” the first commercial paper dress featured in Fortune, Industrial Design, Seventeen, and Life magazines. The garment is now included in the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
