The Academy Campus in Tampa
Centrally located just minutes from the Tampa International Airport, the Academy school
campus is a 130,000 square-foot facility located in the Mainsail Village Complex
and houses the center of our classrooms, labs, and offices.
Technology Hub
The Academy in Tampa has Macintosh and PC-equipped computer labs for instruction and practice
in computer-aided design (CAD), graphic design, computer animation, Web design and
development, programming, sound and video editing, digital production equipment,
word processing, and database management.
Design Central
Classrooms at the school are designed to facilitate learning and consist of lecture
rooms, drafting labs for graphic design students, design studios, and sewing and
draping labs for fashion, and interior design students.
Spring Portfolio Review and Fashion Show
Sponsored every year, hard work and creativity is on display at the Spring Portfolio
Review, designed to showcase student work, and at our Fashion Show, which features
student work in one of the largest student-run fashion shows in the area.
The Academy Learning Resource Center
Students can visit one of the richest resources at the school and find:
- Books, periodicals, pamphlets, articles, and audio-visual support materials geared
to supplement our programs of study.
- Well-focused, continually expanding collection, which includes a wide variety of
reference materials.
- The Internet, Electronic Library, and various indexes and catalogs.

Students First - Always
The International Academy of Design & Technology endorses an open-door policy with
respect to students and staff. Students have the right to request an appointment
with any staff member of the Academy regardless of the person's title or function. Our motto
is "Students First!"
Assistance in Finding Student housing
The Academy assists students in locating suitable housing off-campus so your housing plans
aren't left up in the air. The Academy has contracted with an outside agency dedicated
to providing quality, affordable student housing in the Tampa Bay area.
